Our mission is to protect, promote, and preserve the traditions, Vedic cultures, and beliefs of Hindu Communities in Australia. We aim to foster a strong sense of identity and pride through cultural education, community engagement, and advocacy, ensuring our heritage is honored and passed down to future generations while enriching Australia’s multicultural society.

Empowering Communities Through Vedic Wisdom

Vedic Parishad shall work with all Australian communities including Government, Non-Government agencies to protect, promote, preserve tradition, cultures, and beliefs of the Santana dharma, amongst the Hindu communities in Australia.
Vedic Parishad will promote Hinduism cultures, languages, literatures in harmony with other cultures, traditions, and religions of Australia representing the common interests of all Hindus, including their religious, social, and spiritual values with wider Australian communities.

Our aims and objectives

  • To represent the common interest of all Hindus to various government and non-government organisations in Australia.
  • To highlight and raise awareness of the Hindu cultures and traditions to the wider Australian communities.
  • To promote and establish a Hindu cultural practice, a Hindu place of worship, in areas where settlement of Hindu community members is high. Having a designated place of worship would allow little disruption to other community members.
  • To facilitate and organise the celebration of social and cultural events, including festivals, rituals, exhibitions, and programs.
  • To facilitate and promote a sense of belonging, unity and harmony with other communities in Australia.
  • To liaise with the government and non-government agencies at various levels with regard to appropriate policies affecting the welfare of Hinduism in Australia.
  • To advocate on youth and seniors’ cultural needs and engage with relevant agencies in Australia.
  • To organise charity and fund rising programs to the Hindus Society.
  • To conduct religious, cultural, linguistic, Vedic, educational and knowledge sharing program for youth, seniors, and women.
  • To promote harmony, understanding between Hindu and other faiths in Australia through inter-faith dialogue.
  • To provide information about of Hindu traditions, culture, philosophy, and theology in Australia.
